Thanks to Dr. OZ Goodnighties Sleepwear is #1 for a Great Gift Idea

We’re back…and I’ll be writing more often! I have decided to ‘reflect’ in this blog posting – and explain my absence! Another way to say this is to peek behind the curtain to see what’s been going on with us!

To start, I have been consumed with Marketing AND Customer Service for Goodnighties Recovery Sleepwear.  As many small business owners know when things go crazy in an unplanned way,  your job description may change very quickly! Mine (happily) did change the absolute moment we were featured on The Dr. Oz Show. (April 27, 2012) It was instantaneous!

I had always heard of the legendary ‘Oprah Effect’ so when we experienced it for ourselves, as in the ‘Dr. Oz Effect’ the true impact didn’t hit me until later that night when I was able to finally take a breath. It really was life changing for all of us!  Goodnighties was actually featured in a special segment titled; “Secrets from Dr. Oz’s House” — doesn’t get any better than that!    Finally, all our hard work was recognized by the great one! Dr. OZ himself!

Marcia (Goodnighties owner and talented designer) and I were ‘over-the-moon’ with excitement! Our phones rang continuously with customers and notifications of new sales… an average of 1 per minute for the first 48 hours. This continued and continued!

It was very exciting to know that we had hit a nerve (and a need) with our revolutionary new fabric for better sleep.  For those new to this particular blog….Goodnighties is made with a new high-performance fabric that promotes better sleep – also moisture-wicks and is anti-microbial.  This is a first for the sleep market in a category called ‘functional fabric’…. so we are leading the way!  Also, thanks to the Internet, word about Goodnighties (as a result of being on The Dr. Oz Show also traveled organically worldwide).

With very little notice, it was the exposure that all small businesses truly dream of. Thank you again, Dr. Oz! We love you!

What came next was a mountain (actually several mountains) of orders that needed to be fulfilled. Our existing inventories were wiped out and new production in multiple colors and styles needed to be activated (like quick)…. ! yikes! Then….The Dr. Oz  ran this useful segment again in late July! (more gigantic mountains of orders) 🙂

Fortunately, Goodnighties is a home-grown brand — 100% Made in the USA and we were able to get our army of support quickly in place….Like most things you plan, snags are inevitable, but we are now happy to say that things are better under control. We are grateful to our patient customers – many really had to wait for their order to then call us later when reordering to report it was ‘well worth the wait’! Also, many are so excited to be supporting a strong Made in the USA movement. Goodnighties is proud to be a part of that!

New systems for our small company are now in place with extra helpers…. growing pains are minimized!  whew!  Thanks to our many loyal and now new customers we are moving forward adding to Goodnighties nightwear collections everywhere! Retail stores are also now very interested in our brand.

Our new beautiful color ‘Sapphire Blue’ is in full production and so far this color is very popular like our stunning Eggplant color! Many are buying now for the holidays. Having fun mixing and matching too! (sizes, styles and colors!)… all sold separately!

We are such a ground-breaking brand… breaking the mold on traditional delicate colors….(although we still have soft pink) …. The striking jewel tones are beautiful in Goodnighties comfortable, soft fabric…they wash really well and never fade! Always look brand new!
